Purpose of the Mission (project & department description)
The Tech functional consultant Ariba SLP/MDG will be involved in the analysis, and potential implementation and
roll-out of Ariba SLP and MDG in order to help managing vendors better across entities and systems.
Primary Tasks & Responsibilities
The Functional Consultant must follow the Ariba solutions through all phases, including analysis,
customizing, testing, implementation, and user training, as well as providing technical and functional
expertise in the area of SAP Procurement.
Main responsibilities will be:
• Manage several projects with medium risks and resources requirements, with limited
supervision
• Analyzing user requests/needs and translate them into generic business requirements
• Designing the best solution to the requirements taking into account the standard capabilities
of the software package
• Customizing new functionalities
• Provide ABAP development specifications and follow-up of these developments
• Unit test the proposed solution or new functionalities
• Act as 3rd line support for end-users
• Optimizes solutions relating to specific project issues
• Sell our solutions to the users and their management through good communication of their
business value
Experience, Knowledge & Soft Skill Requirements
Required Experience & Knowledge:
• Able to design & implement best practice blueprints
• Strong technical capacity with a good understanding of functional business/supply chain
• Previously involved in delivering SLP/ MDG
Soft skills:

• Dynamic
• Ability to complete his(her) role with limited supervision
• Structured working method/disciplined
• Fluency in English (French is a plus)
Education, Methodology & Certification Requirements
• SAP certification in the area of SAP Ariba & Fieldglass.
ICT Skills (software, operating systems, hardware, etc.)
Language Proficiency Requirements
• French Not mandatory but preferred
• English Fluent
