Application Architect
· The National Office for Annual Holidays has developed a modern IT environment with applications in Java with integration to SAP (FICO and HR).
· At the start of the development of the AMBI application in 2007, a number of technical choices were made based on current best practices and available software.
· Meanwhile, there is an evolution of the technology used and the applicable ‘best practices’. The aim of the middleware project is to optimize the architecture in order to improve performance, extend the life of the applications and facilitate maintenance.
· Scope of the project: simplification of the data model, re-evaluation of the choice of the DBMS, improvement of the performance by separating historical data and current versions, provision of a solution for the removal of old data from the application under the new GDPR rules, replacement of old technologies by the ‘State of the art’ technologies, so that the maintenance and evolution of the application is not compromised, adaptation to stricter security requirements.
· In addition, a number of business projects need to be realized and existing applications need to be maintained.
· In this context we are looking for an Application Architect for the entire environment of RJV (maintenance and projects) who will work together with an internal junior architect.
· This person has at least 5 years of experience in a client/server and/or a web-based Java environment and a thorough knowledge of design patterns (JAVA, SPRING project, Angular, GWT, Crucible, Fishe Eye, Crowd, XML, SOAP and REST-web services, Service Bus), good knowledge of relational databases and design (MySQL, DB2, Hibernate), is familiar with agile development and the concepts of “Continuous Integration” and “Application Lifecycle Management” (Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence, Gliffy, Bitbucket). Knowledge of API gateways is a plus.
